Desk PC 2.0 Update: Gluing the magnetic sheets for cover installation
I initially thought of installing the vertical covers of the desk using some thumbscrews. However, I was not happy with the look at it. So I thought about a “screw less” version. And found some nice magnets and small metallic pieces which would serve such a purpose. Unfortunately it turned out that the adhesive part on the round metal sheets was not strong enough to keep up against the magnets. So I decided to glue these small pieces directly to the acrylic glass. Hopefully this will hold tight in the future.

Here you can see how the magnetic holder is fitted into the profile. Basically you insert with a 90° angle and turn it once its located in the t-slot. 
The magnetic mounting pieces which are used to attach the covers to the frame 
The small round pieces at the corner are made of thin metal and glued to the cover 
Here is a rendering of the mounting piece which I created in CAD and printed on my 3D-printer
